The Reality of Using Applications Artificial Intelligence Generative in Education from the Perspective of Students in Arab East Colleges

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the reality of using applications based on generative artificial intelligence in education from the point of view of students in colleges in the Arab East, and to identify the areas of students’ use of generative artificial intelligence technology in the educational process, as well as the obstacles that students face in using generative artificial intelligence technology. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used as a study method, and the questionnaire was used as a study tool. The study sample consisted of (33) students from Arab East Colleges. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: that there is agreement among the study individuals. On the reality of students’ use of generative artificial intelligence applications, which confirms that students’ use of generative artificial intelligence applications was at a high level. The results also indicated that generative artificial intelligence applications work to activate the role of the teacher as a facilitator of the education process, and they also increase flexibility in presenting scientific material. It works to reduce the stress resulting from trial and error in learning. The results showed that there is high agreement among the study members on the challenges facing male and female students in using generative artificial intelligence technology. Among the most notable is the lack of specialists in generative artificial intelligence applications, the study recommended providing special training programs for using generative artificial intelligence applications in education.
